Wine has been in TOWT’s spotlight since the beginning of July.
Three ships are again sailing the historical maritime wine routes. The lighter ‘Notre Dame de Rumengol’, the tunny-fishing boat ‘Arawak’ and the brigantine ‘Tres Hombres’ will navigate to Brittany and Scandinavia with hulls full of wine loaded from Nantes, Bordeaux and Douarnenez respectively.
On board of the « Tres Hombres », a selection of the best French wines
For this third sailing transport of organic wine to Denmark 10,000 bottles of organic wine were loaded on the 10th July at Douarnenez aboard the only sailing cargo ship without an engine in the world.
Aboard Arawak, an exclusive vintage.
For the Bordeaux Wine Festival ‘Arawak’ loaded bottles of wine from Tour la Garette (2007) under the exclusive brand ‘Olympe Minvielle’. This transaction was accomplished on the behalf of an organic food and ecological products shop named ‘Les 7 épis de Lorient’.
